  • Defense of corporate officer & manager in lawsuit brought by corporation for breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, fraud and other similar charges. Our defense strategy resulted in a settlement by our client for approximately 2.1% of the pleaded damages.
    Pleading for damages in excess of $1,000,000. Settlement funds from Stein were $21,500.00
  • Defense of employer-non-subscriber to workmen’s compensation-in personal injury suit. Our defense strategy including bringing a third party into the suit to answer for the plaintiff’s injuries. The case was settled for approximately 23% of the plaintiff’s actual medical expenses and the third party contributed approximately 38% of those settlement funds.
    Request for disclosure responses (supplemental) total actual medical bills at $104,198. We paid $15,000. The contractor paid $9,000.

  • Suing to domesticate a large judgment from another state for enforcement in Texas. The judgment was successfully domesticated in the trial court. The defendant filed an appeal but subsequently dismissed it.
